Morton said because of the genuine interest and commitment to their customers, they recently increased the internet speed two-fold to subscribers.

“As recently as this month, we doubled the speed that internet customers were using and we didn’t change the price.  This shows our commitment of giving customers more: more speed, more reliability and better technology,” she explained.

“It is against this backdrop that we signed up to partner with the Carnival Committee in order to provide internet to them so that they can broadcast what is a phenomenal event to the world without blemish in terms of the internet product,” Morton said.

the events will be broadcast live ensuring Basseterre and other countries view carnival activities without any interruptions or difficulties.

“We will be streaming all of the shows along with the major pageants, the fringe activities that are organised by the Carnival committee. We are steaming them as part of our sponsorship package, as well as sponsoring a contestant in the national Carnival Queen Pageant as we want to support culture, arts and technology,” she explained.

Reflecting, she noted, “During the pandemic we assisted carnival as well similarly providing free internet for them to stream the shows. We realised that the carnival approach had to be different. A lot of the activities were not going to be in the physical and we wanted to keep the carnival spirt alive.”

“So, we were shifted to a virtual model. However, we provided the infrastructure and the connections to make sure that the internet was not only provided, but that it was at a very high standard in order to ensure viewers watching experience was (technologically) flawless: no sticking, no dropouts, no buffering. We boosted the network to ensure that the internet product was really delivered well,” Morton explained.
